Accountant Needed in Paris, France

Skills Provision is searching for an Accountant to work for a Fine Arts company in France.

The employing company require an Accountant to assist the Managing Controller in the day-to-day coordination and running of the Accounting Department.

Position: Permanent

Salary & Benefits

• €64,000 pa
• Benefits package available

The Role

• Oversee the accounts’ payable function including the supervision of staff.
• Perform a variety of accounting and administrative functions such as reviewing source documents, maintaining ledgers, recording entries, compiling budget information and interacting with clients and customers.
• Responsible for the production of monthly accounts.
• Responsible for accounting fixed assets and maintaining all records.
• Oversee the preparation of various schedules and reports relating to the annual audit.
• Calculate unit costs for catalogues and store merchandise. Prepare monthly inventory transfers for the main store.
• Perform other duties as assigned, specifically related to insurance and exhibition schedules.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar field
• Strong understanding of general accountancy principles
• Ability to proficiently utilise computer applications
• Attention to detail and proven accuracy
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to satisfy deadlines and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with staff, clients and members of the general public
• Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Ability to use good judgment, work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to handle and safeguard confidential matters, data and reports
