Skills Provision is searching for a Logistics Manager in the North of England. The employing company is a leading player within the food processing industry.

The Role

As the company’s logistics expert, you will take overall responsibility for outbound logistic tasks, including offsite warehousing and 3rd party strategic logistics partners. You will define and review the logistics strategy to ensure it meets the changing shape of the business, as we expand our sales capabilities. You will instigate and manage processes and procedures to ensure 3rd parties understand our key requirements and will be accountable for pallet management across the business. Working autonomously, you will report to the Supply Chain Director and will play a crucial role in developing strong working relationships with manufacturing, customer services, finance, sales and technical teams to support the overall achievement of departmental objectives.



Educated to degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in warehousing and distribution you will have demonstrable success in implementing cost-effective logistics strategies. Experienced in negotiating and managing 3rd party contracts you will have a high degree of financial awareness in relation to budgeting, profit and loss and overhead analysis. We are looking for a self-starter who understands the importance of challenging the status quo and can bring cost savings and efficiency to the logistics side of our business.

Certificate in Management Studies or Higher Certificate in Professional Competence

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and business administration systems
