Our latest appointment is for a London based client seeking those with a passion for Data/Analytics and to be part of a new FastTrack initiative providing multiple Azure solutions.

Pay Rate

  • £100,000-£125,000 per annum


What will the role involve?

  • Partner with various Azure experts to scope and build customer-facing content, modules, tools and proof of concepts
  • Directly engage with clients to validate new solutions and POC’s and update modules per learnings and feedback
  • Be proactive as an ‘ideas’ person and share knowledge through management best practices, solution documentation, build automated self-help solutions, create training and engage technical communities
  • Act as subject matter expert across one or more of the following Azure Iaas, Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL DW, HDInsight, Date Lake Analytics, Stream Analytics, Machine Learning, Microsoft R Server, Cortana Intelligence Suite, Azure Data Factory, Cognitive Services
  • Assist clients to migrate and/or build workloads throughout production process and expansion of Cloud footprint
  • Staying current on latest Azure/Cloud innovations in order to conduct experiments, drive product improvement and act as subject matter trainer for other engineers
  • Interact on daily basis with other FastTrack engineers to produce technical action plans and take ownership of situations requiring escalation
  • Share knowledge with others through solution documentation, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions and create training


Candidate Competencies

The ideal Data, AI Azure Engineer should have:

  • Must be familiar with Cloud deployment and development tools (i.e. Power Shell, Visual Studio, .Net, Python, Azure-Cli)
  • Also familiar with Cloud networking concepts and connectivity (geo-redundancy, CDN, VPN) and tools
  • Proven experience in design and deployment of data workloads Azure and building analytical solutions
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively drive recommendations and prioritize across clients, partners, senior executives and across organizational boundaries
  • Able to deal with ambiguity
  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment whilst balancing multiple demands and shifting priorities
  • Possess an understanding of the onboarding process and demonstrate a vision for the future of Microsoft support
  • Have excellent customer service skills, with proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations
  • Consulting and/or delivery experience a plus


Candidate Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience working with Enterprise clients on Azure specific data solutions, application development and deployment
  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
