Our client is a giant in the uniform manufacturing world, who now are looking for a talented Senior Business Development Manager to join their ever-expanding organisation. Al Obaidani International LLC provide their services to the Ministry of Defence to Oman Air.

Our client is particularly interested in applicants from organisations such as Dimensions, Olino, EVG, Arrow or Simon.

a. Locate, propose & close potential business opportunities by contacting potential clients whilst ensuring the agreed individual business turnover

b. Develop & present effective business plans, sales stories and demonstrations to high end potential clients

c. Responsible for an effective new client on-boarding by providing excellent customer services thereby leveraging opportunities for generating sales

d. Execution of strategies in order to maintain customer relations, customer development activities and retention of existing customers

e. Responsible for carrying out tender submission through adopting off line & On-line e-tendering methodology / electronic submission of Tenders-Bids. Preparation of reports, cost analysis, negotiations and closure of deal

f. Ensure quality & timely delivery of products and services to the clients. If required, to visit the factory to ensure the production takes place according to the client requirements

g. Engage in price negotiations with internal and external customers to ensure both company and clients get the best results

h. Ensure timely and quality submission of samples & pre-production samples to the customers and follow up on approvals/style change requests/enquiries etc

i. Manage a range of customer projects at any given time

j. Manage Key Accounts to maintain & grow business

k. Ensure prospecting calls, appointments, business proposals, quotations and presentations are submitted/completed on time

l. Work closely with cross functional business partners (Operations, Procurement, Finance & Designing) to ensure that product and service offerings are aligned to deliver as per client requirements while ensuring a superior customer experience.

m. Conduct one – on – one reviews with assigned assistants to build more effective communication, understand any barriers, training requirements and report necessary action to the Head of Department.

n. Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and addressing of customer’s complaints and suggestions in an effective way.

o. Understand and manage through complex issues, analyse situations, research alternatives and develop strategies with a focus on customer experience.

p. Maintain accurate records of all proposals, sales and activity reports submitted by self and assigned Business Development Executive(s) as per ISO Standards.

q. Engage in regular market research to analyse the changing fashion trends (specifically for corporate uniforms) and accordingly engage with Senior Manager – Sales to develop strategies to cater to those changes.

r. Adhering to the Sales SOP’s as per ISO Standards.


Candidate Requirements

  • Successful candidate will have a work history as a Business Development Manager (detailed in CV).
  • Be a business minded individual, looking for ways for the company to grow and succeed.
  • Be proficient in the English language.
