Skills Provision once again has been chosen by a client in the care sector to find high calibre individuals to join them as soon as possible.

At present, the client is looking for Home Carers to join their operations in the Perth and Kinross area of Scotland.

In the position as a Home Carer, individuals will be delivering personal care to elderly people, specifically in their own homes.

*Applicants must be from the European Union.

Salary

  • An hourly rate of £9
  • Plus £0.40 per mile fuel contribution
  • Shared accommodation is available (Approx £300 per month)

 

Job Description

As a Home Carer you will be expected to:

  • Carry out care and any additional tasks to a high standard that are highlighted in the Services Users individual plan
  • To keep the Service Users plan up to date
  • Follow guidance from management, implement actions to encourage individuals to carry out as much self-care as possible
  • Ensure records and details are kept up to date, whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • To contribute by carrying out planned actions, to the maintenance of the Service User’s individuality, dignity and freedom of choice
  • Be aware of the Service Users mental health and wellbeing
  • When necessary take responsibility for financial affairs for the Service User; in the form of shopping, collecting benefits etc.
  • Help in promoting the individuals need to develop and maintain social interactions and activities
  • Show an understanding of different Services Users spiritual needs
  • Take an active role in training that is available to better develop your skills and knowledge

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in this role is desired
  • Possess relevant qualifications
  • Hold a valid driving license
  • Be a member of the European Union
  • Good level of English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Caring and thoughtful nature
