Vacancy for an Accounting Manager, Qatar

Skills Provision is searching for an Accounting Manager to join a company in Doha, Qatar.

The employing company is based in the attractive Gulf State of Qatar. Our client is looking to hire a Management Information Systems / Accounting Manager to complement their growing finance team. They operate in real estate, infrastructure development, private equity and asset management.

The Role

• The MIS / Accounting manager will be an experienced qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACA or equivalent) with thorough knowledge of reporting environments.
• He/she will be required to develop and implement reporting systems; maintain and distribute statistical data to Senior Management.
• Respond to Management Information queries.
• Prepare and submit financial statements (balance sheet, income statements, cash flow statements) to the Qatar Finance Centre Regulatory Authority and other regulatory bodies and be responsible for the reporting of monthly management accounts.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience and sound knowledge.
• Previous work experience in the Middle East or knowledge of Islamic Banking principles would be beneficial but is not essential.
• More important is a willingness to be involved in a start-up situation and take a leading role in developing processes and procedures that help to achieve the banks strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.
