The Role

• Lead and manage a team of warehouse operatives
• Monitor and improve team productivity and performance using agency staff and overtime as necessary against customer targets
• Communicate, motivate and develop the team effectively
• Manage grievance and disciplinary processes within legal constraints and HR policies
• Enforce and improve all safe systems of working
• Raise requests for warehouse equipment, consumables, uniforms etc and understand the impact on the overall budget
• Deputise for operations manager as appropriate.

Requirements

• You should be an experienced leader with an impressive track record in a fast-moving, dynamic customer-focused warehousing or similar environment.
• In addition, you will have demonstrated a clear flair for getting the best from teams in meeting and exceeding targets.
• You must have the ability to understand and interpret factual and numerical information and be able to assess priorities.

Skills:

• Strong resource management and communication skills will be essential with the ability to communicate across all levels.
