Skills Provision is actively looking for a Head of Sales for a global communication organisation based in Woking, UK selling satellite capacity and services.

Services provided enable programming to be streamed to almost every corner of the world.

With a European based teleport and multilingual sales staff the client can provide, uplink, downlink or turnaround services across the entire satellite network.

Interest in modern technology is expected but detailed technological knowledge will be gained on the job but candidates will be expected to conduct due diligence on the client through an active review of online information before the interview. This position will entail extensive travel (estimated at 1 week per month).

It is likely that the successful candidates will have a background in communications, broadcasting, multimedia or the selling of services.


At present applicants must hold European Union Citizenship as no Visa sponsorship is available.



Job Package

  • £50000-£75000 per annum
  • Excellent commission scheme


Job Description

The main purpose of this position is ensuring that corporate targets are met. Other responsibilities involve:

  • Setting targets for your sales team
  • Production of management reports
  • Qualification of pipeline
  • Managing a remote sales team
  • Travelling regularly to key regions
  • Monitoring team’s progress, reviewing and taking necessary action
  • Follow clear sales procedures
  • Maintain a working relationship with account managers for existing customers


Candidate Requirements

  • Hold a minimum of 2 years of Head of Sales experience
  • Possess relevant Sales degree

Specific experience in:

  • Pipeline Management
  • Lead generation
  • Qualification of Customers
  • Direct Management of Sales Team (remote if possible)
  • CRM usage
  • Realistic forecasting
  • Management Reporting

Personal skills:

  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Be motivated to achieve and exceed targets
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent English language capabilities
