Skills Provision is currently sourcing for passionate Residential Support Workers for our client. The SENAD group based in Derby are looking to expand their workforce at their Rowden House School in Herefordshire. This school offers their services for children aged 8-19 with severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Job Package

  • Salary of £14,754-£17,601 depending on experience.
  • Overtime is available.

Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Helping to maximise all our students’ potential across all areas; physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
  • Encourage the development of the young people’s ability to make their own choices.
  • Follow professionally advice and utilise alternative methods of communication to help give the students a voice.
  • Following bespoke care pans and individual arrangements to give the best possible level of care to all students.

  • The ability to work under pressure in challenging circumstances.
  • The ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a committed team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of what the role involves and a clear appreciation of its challenges and its rewards.
  • An ability to identify and undertake any training necessary to develop within the role.

Education & Qualifications

 

  • A good standard of written and verbal communication.
  • A valid current driving licence.
