Skills Provision is seeking to recruit a Sawmill Manager for a factory located in Congo Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo), Africa.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of hands-on technical skills and strong managerial capability.

A valid work permit will be arranged for international applicants.

Salary
US$3500 net p/m
Benefits
US$500 p/m for expenses.
Work Permit provided.

Company car available for use.
Working Hours
6 am to 2 pm on weekdays.
6 am to 12 pm Saturday.
Sunday off.
Role Overview
As the Sawmill Manager, duties include:
Assign the wood production team to specific tasks.
Prepare, maintain and repair saws and other machinery, e.g. LBL Brenta and Cathid dryers.
Set and retain high-quality standards.
Responsible for enforcing health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Oversee shipping of finished products.
Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with customers.
Ensure production is financially aligned with business goals.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a sawmill or similar environment.
Diploma or a vocational qualification would be preferred.
Experience as a sharpener/saw filer/millwright/blade technician.
Understanding of wood properties and characteristics.
Familiarity with blade preparation techniques based on wood type and hardness.
Knowledge of operational procedures for modern machinery and technological systems.
Sound mechanical knowledge.
Basic understanding of electrical systems.
Proficiency in CNC machine programming.
Excellent command of the English language.
Able to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proactive approach.
