The Role

  • Provide guidance and direction to promote the development of viable project proposals for the development and/or acquisition of IT solutions to facilitate the success of business development
  • Planning and executing of IT projects including estimating, change management assessment, execution, installation and benefits programme establishment
  • Securing resources from external sourcing as appropriate to ensure timely project completion according to agreed constraints
  • Ensuring projects are adequately monitored, planned and reported to alert management of issues and ensure departmental forward planning is effective
  • Establishing a network of working relationships with global resource pool managers
  • Maintaining a sound knowledge of trends in the Information Technology market and how emerging technologies can benefit the company.



  • The successful incumbent will have 5 -10 years of experience in a business/information technology environment, with experience in all aspects of systems development from needs analysis to programming, including the use of formal project methodology and experience of SAP projects.
  • A proven track record of major project delivery, business/enterprise knowledge, communication, planning and project management skills will also be required.
  • The incumbent must balance user expectations with realistic promises and competing and often changing priorities and deliver an appropriate solution.
  • Further critical competencies include negotiation and conflict resolution, change leadership, internal customer focus and employee development & empowerment.
