Skills Provision is trawling for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic for a company in Ireland.

The employer has successfully operated in the aggregate industry for over 40 years.

For this role, the successful candidate will be required to cover two sites, County Cork/Kerry.

The Role

• Work alongside the maintenance department, supporting teams across two sites
• Undertake work on vehicles and plant equipment
• Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Repair equipment as and when required
• Promote best practice
• Health & safety aware
• Effective reporting procedures
• Actively participate in training as and when required
• Carry out additional duties when required
• Professionally represent the employing company

Requirements

Essential:

• 3+ years of experience
• Possess a recognised trade relevant qualification e.g. apprenticeship/diploma etc.
• Experience in hydraulics, pumps and associated systems (essential)
• Perform all tasks with professionalism and efficiency
• Flexible approach to variable shift patterns
• Team player
• Strong organisational skills
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Intermediate level of English
• Effective IT user
• Valid car driving licence (Assistance offered to foreign nationals)

Desirable:

• Welding experience
• Class C driving license
