Skills Provision is searching for a Financial Analyst for a company in Cape Town, South Africa.

The Role

• Conduct workshops with the relevant departments of the business to gather detailed user requirements by following a standard development methodology
• Translate client requirements into highly specified project briefs
• Identify options for potential solutions and assess these for both technical and business suitability
• Compile proposals for modified or replacement systems and present them to relevant parties for their consideration
• Work closely together with programmers and a variety of end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Oversee the implementation of the new and approved system(s)
• Continuously ensure that tasks and projects are completed within deadlines and that any rework is limited
• Monitor and improve the efficiency of business processes, as well as collect, analyse and interpret data from existing processes to recommend improvements to ensure best practice is followed at all times
• Continuously keep up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments and investigate alternative business solutions
• Reduce manual tasks and direct costs as well as provide efficiencies through the effective use of technology
• Interpret business processes into user interaction flows and screen layouts

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience in a business analysis, process development and/or debtors system environment
• Working knowledge of relational databases, web and client-server concepts
• 3 Years? experience within a retail or financial environment
• Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
• Any unsecured lending experience is an added advantageous
• Excellent project management skills and goal and results-driven
• Mature self-starter with high energy levels and strong time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Great attention to detail
• Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
• Flexible, delivery focus and self-motivated
• Independent and proactive
