£50,000 – £65,000 per annum

Working Hours

38 Hours per week: Mon – Thurs 8 am –5 pm, Fri 8 am – 3 pm

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, duties will include:

• Take a lead role in projects
• Design, plan and coordinate on mechanical projects
• Contribute to design strategy and conceptual design on mechanical installations
• Design mechanical installations including the production of design drawings and diagrams, to relevant British Standards and, Building Regulations
• Undertake design calculations for the design of mechanical installations within major building projects
• Prepare specifications and design stage reports
• Ensure compliance with current legislation
• Attend design meetings, virtually and in person
• Provide coaching to junior engineers

Requirements

Education:

Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience as a building service mechanical design engineer
• Working knowledge of British Building Regulations/BS EN Standards/CIBSE Guidance Documents
• Excellent project management skills
• Able to meet deadlines
• Skilful in AutoCAD
• Experience in the M and E sector
• If applying from outside of the UK, the ability to meet the requirements for the Skilled Worker Visa
