Building Services Electrical Engineer Needed in the UK

International Placement Agency, Skills Provision, requires a suitably trained and qualified, Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a company in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

Working Hours

38 Hours per week: Mon – Thurs 8 am –5 pm, Fri 8 am – 3 pm

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, duties will include:

• Take a lead role in projects
• Contribute to the overall planning process, through specialist advice and input on projects, design strategy and conceptual design in relation to electrical installations
• Create electrical design solutions
• Design electrical installations including the production of design drawings and diagrams, to relevant British Standards and Building Regulations
• Provide advice on low carbon and environmentally sustainable solutions
• Prepare specifications and design stage reports
• Ensure compliance with current legislation
• Attend design meetings
• Provide coaching to junior engineers

Requirements

Education:

Degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering

Experience:

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience as a building service electrical design engineer
• Working knowledge of British Building Regulations/BS EN Standards/CIBSE Guidance Documents
• Excellent project management skills
• Able to meet deadlines
• Skilful in AutoCAD
• Experience in the M and E sector
• Knowledge of Revit and DIALux would be welcomed
• If applying from outside of the UK, the ability to meet the requirements for the Skilled Worker Visa
