Skills Provision is seeking 4 IT Technical Support Assistants for our client based in Brisbane, Australia.  These exciting roles is to provide professional IT Services to assist individual clients to achieve the best possible outcomes for their home or business needs. Our client is seeking motivated, organised and pro-active people to work with and contribute to their business team.  Salary from Aus$40,000 upwards, depending on age, experience and visa.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high quality and responsive customer focused technical support for clients
  2. Liaise with clients on specific requirements for their business and provide advice to clients on technical issues
  3. Provide over-the-phone instruction to clients in the use of information technology resources available to them
  4. Liaise with suppliers of hardware and software
  5. Provide an excellent level of customer services to maintain and expand the client base. This may include cash handling and EFTPOS transactions

Skills and Capabilities Required:

  1. Completion of or partial completion to a minimum of Certificate 4 for Information Technology or a willingness to undertake further studies in this field or demonstrated an ability at this skill level
  2. Strengths in Microsoft Suite of Office products
  3. Knowledge of connecting internal hardware components including cable management.
  4. Basic Networking theory and data communications
  5. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of common computer software and hardware faults and queries, and the ability to use intuitive skills in dealing with non-standard software or hardware faults
  6. Demonstrate an ability to work effectively as part of a team
  7. Proven capability to work efficiently, independently and with minimal supervision.
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to client focus in all aspects of work
  9. Demonstrate communication skills, both written and verbal. Including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, computer suppliers, and other IT professionals
  10. Demonstrate an ability to understand clients’ needs and provide a high level of client service, including an ability to assist others to use computing technologies
  11. Demonstrate an ability to appropriately deal with difficult clients and situations with the ability to negotiate mutually satisfactory outcomes
  12. Ability to meet changing deadlines and prioritise effectively while communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
  13. Current valid driver’s license
  14. Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach in acceptance that there are many methods to achieve a similar viable and effective solution to issues and problems

What we need from you:

  1. For non-native born English speakers, a current IELTS certificate level of 5.5 across all categories (
  2. Certification in English of required skills (We only require copies at this stage)
  3. Proof of nationality – copy of the data page of passport
  4. Up to date CV (in English)
