My current role is with the Flowline Team working on the BP ECMS Contract. I am responsible for assisting in the general day-to-day running of the team. I/we use all the information available to produce a safe and efficient design, this includes Scopus surveys, Laser Scan, relevant Structural & Piping drawings and GAs. My role also includes the modelling and detailing of Pipe Supports, allocating of work to other designers (Expats & Nationals) and the checking of drawings and other deliverables before issue.

August 2011–June 2015 - Amec (Senior Pipe Support Designer – Facilities Engineering)

In my previous assignment I was responsible for Pipe Support Design for projects on various platforms within the North Sea and Irish Sea. I was also heavily involved in Pipe Support Design for FPSOs within the North Sea and the Jubilee Oil Field which is located south of Ghana. In this role I also acted as Focal Point for Amec’s Jakarta office. This included visiting the office to help set up Pipe Support Design and to introduce/mentor the nationals in the production of Pipe Support Design and Draft using PDMS.

Within my time in Aberdeen I carried out various offshore surveys on both fixed platforms and FPSOs for FEED and Detail Design purposes. Beyond this I have experience on site, the Haewene Brim FPSO was dry docked in Nigg, Scotland in the summer of 2013 for topside modifications. I was responsible for carrying out surveys on existing lines and supervising the installation of pipe supports.

August 2004–August 2011 – Scott Bennett Associates (Structural / Civil Designer)

During my time at Scott Bennett Associates Ltd I worked on a wide variety of building projects including inner city regeneration, commercial units, major housing projects and brown-field developments. This role included the preparation of sub-structure, super-structure, steelwork, drainage & site, roads and reinforcement detailed drawings. Together with the drafting of civil & structural drawings my duties also included steelwork detailing and modelling using 2D/3D AutoCAD. I was responsible for the checking and approving of timber kit, precast concrete and steel fabrication drawings. As well as this my duties included steel reinforcement scheduling for projects ranging from two to seven stories.

Throughout my time with SBA I also supervised site investigation works, attended regular site meetings with Design Teams and acted as Project Engineer on a variety of projects. In the seven years I spent at SBA I worked on numerous projects which ranged from two storey timber kit housing to seven storey steel framed commercial units. This gave me a broad insight into the construction industry and a varied experience with a host of different builds.
