I worked as a trainee lawyer-linguist in the Greek Section of the Directorate for Legislative Acts (DLA), Directorate General for the Presidency. My duties included the legal-linguistic verification of legislative texts adopted or to be adopted by the European Parliament in various policy areas. Ι carried out adhoc legal and terminological research for the Greek section. I assisted the lawyer-linguists of the
section in the follow-up of committee work (ECON, ENVI and AGRI), which included attending trilogue negotiations and preparatory meetings on legislative files and the debates and votes in the
committees, and I drafted committee reports. I also attended the debates and votes in the Plenary session in Strasbourg. I was present at other meetings organised by the Parliament (e.g. workshops,
joint hearings etc) and drafted summary reports for those meetings. I worked on parts of the Greek version of the "Joint Handbook for the presentation and drafting of acts subject to the ordinary legislative procedure", which is prepared by the Parliament, Council and Commission services.

I completed my practical training in private law firms, practicing Labor Law,civil, commercial and penal law, immigration law and crimes concerning drugs. My duties involved tasks in public services, such
as the Labor Inspection Service, tax authorities and social security funds (IKA), the police and immigration service, as well as work in the courts, the writing of lawsuits, applications and other legal
documents. They also involved secretarial work inside the office, such as receiving phone calls and the clients of legal firms and dealing with administrative issues of the office.
