Appointed as Senior Deputy Manager (QC/ QA & Environment) / HOD (QC/QA & Environment) at Pioneer Cement Limited & due to outstanding performance promoted as Manager (QC/QA & Environment)

For the last 2 year’s & five months working as Head of Department (QC / QA & Environment) & DMR for ISO 9001 : 2008 & ISO 14001 : 2004 at Pioneer Cement Limited (6650 TPD Plant) an ISO QMS 9001: 2004 & ISO EMS 14001: 2004 Certified system.

• Completely responsible for all QC & QA Activities. (Raw Materials ,Fuel (Coal & Alternative Fuels (Bagass, Chicken / Poultry Waste, Leather Waste, Wheat Straws, Sugar Mud, Rice Husk, TDF, RDF, Carbon Black etc.), Process Materials , Finish Product, Water treatment ,Environmental analysis , cost analysis ,instrument maintenance & calibration)
• Responsible for manpower (43 Staff Members of QC / QA Dept.) & financial management of all activities of the QC / QA Department.
• Responsible for cost and performance evaluation of different raw materials & fuel's used in cement manufacturing.
• Working as Head of Coal / Raw Material committee, apprising management regarding the Quality / price competitiveness of incoming coal / raw materials at Pioneer Cement Limited.
• Plan & Conduct Internal Audits biannually. Issue CPAR and ensure that the observations are timely addressed against each CPAR. To coordinate with external auditors of Moody as Pioneer Rep during the external audit of EMS & QMS on bi-annual basis.
• To coordinate as well as act as focal person regarding Management Council Meetings (Bi-annual) & Management Committee Meeting (Annual basis).
• To coordinate with marketing department to ensure that Customer Satisfaction Surveys (Bi-Annually) are timely conducted, to address the desires & expectations of the customers for the improvement of cement quality / customer satisfaction.
• To ensure that all record related to QA is up-dated at all the times .(Document Change Request, Master List of Documents , Master List of Records , Master & QC Calibration Plan , Job Descriptions , Work Instructions, System Procedures ,CPAR’s, Departmental & company wise Objective & Management Programee’s ,Quality Plan , QC & QA Training / Skill Analysis ,Third Party Environmental Analysis & Monitoring Reports & Environmental Aspects & Impact analysis)
• Identify the training needs of individuals and staff members of QC as well as organization regarding QMS & EMS .Prepare the skill matrix chart for all QC / QA Staff.
• To coordinate and conduct third party environment monitoring visits (Monthly basis) to ensure compliance with NEQS through proactive approach and close liaison with utility & process department by ensuring the effectiveness of Env protection equipment as well as process parameters. To coordinate with EPA’s.To conduct noise analysis of plant.
• Identify & Evaluate the Environmental Aspects & Impacts in coordination with different departments on annual basis.
• To coordinate with PSQCA, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS India) & Sri Lankan Standards Institute (SLSI) to maintain product certification from licensing bodies.

• 05 years & 09 months experience of working as 2nd to HOD (QC),Sr..Assistant Manager (QC/QA) at 12000 TPD Production line of Bestway Cement Limited Chakwal a unit of Bestway Group UK.
• Acting as In charge of QCX Section
• Full knowledge, expertise and working experience of Herzog Swing Mills, Pallet Press Machine, PANalytical Fuse Bead Machine, cubiX 2300 XRF. CubiX 3800 XRD and on line TRAW Mix Software for controlling raw mix. Commissioning, Calibration, Alpha correction (α) and Pulse Height Determination (PHD) of channels of XRF. Routine Maintenance of CubiX 2300/00 XRF equipped with superQ software.
• Acting as In charge of Physical Lab (Gauging Section)
• Responsibilities included ensuring that all testing Activities of physical section of QC Department are as per the requirement of Pakistan Standard, Indian standard, Sri Lankan Standards, European Standard & ASTM.
• Was involved in the commissioning and operation of Raw material preparation instruments Laboratory Crushers, Disc Mills (Retsch Pulverizer).
• Installation, Calibration and Training of High Temperature furnaces (Nabertherm), Electrical Ovens (Memmert), Bomb Calorimeter (IKA Germany), Hard Grove Index Apparatus (China), Moisture Analyzer (Sartorius).
• Was involved in the Establishment of Chemical lab (Chemical Solution preparation, chemical Testing and Training to concerned QC staff).
• Worked on the development / Production of special Cement’s at BCL Chakwal i.e. Low Alkali Cement, Sulphate Resistant Cement, High Early Strength Cement (ASTM Type-III), BS EN 197 (42.5 N & R)
• Worked as active member for the Implementation of ISO 9001: 2001 at BCL Chakwal, having full knowledge of the Implementation of Quality Management system (QMS).

• 01 year and 08 months experience of working as Assistant Manager in Fecto Cement Limited Sanjani Islamabad.
• Responsibilities included working as Shift In charge of Quality Control Department controlling Quality and process control of Raw Materials, in process and finish product, Mix pile control (3 component pile Limestone, Shale and Laterite), Chemical Testing of Raw Material and Cement, Water Treatment (Treatment & Testing), Coal Testing & Full knowledge and Operation of PW 1600 XRF.

• 6 months experience as a research student over the thesis Titled as “Quantification of metals in herbal medicines” Using Atomic Absorption Spectrometer.
