Undertaking this newly created role, I am responsible for planning, managing and reporting of the six-year replacement programme of Scottish Water’s fleet.
Firstly, I created an effective and reliable fleet replacement model. I then overhauled the financial reporting process to increase accuracy and enable effective, strategic decision making. After being in the position for a full year, my implementations ensured the Replacement Team successfully delivered the largest replacement year in the six-year cycle and compensated for the team’s shortfall in the two previous years.
With the current six-year cycle running smoothly, I have extended my role in supporting the Project Board with the planning and creating of the subsequent six-year programme. I have created numerous scenario models whilst documenting assumptions, risks and issues. This long-term project has been run to meet numerous checkpoints from the Project Board and is currently in the closing stages.
