I am a person with varied interests and hobbies which include staying indoors as well as going outdoors. I can stay indoors for a day holding a book on science, space, and ancient origins or my laptop browsing websites on a variety of topics or watching health & fitness, cooking, and technological wonders on YouTube. I can also stay outdoors the whole day playing basketball, tennis, or bowling with friends. Sometimes I would go out on a road trip to see nice places, slices of life and nature, or simply just enjoy the ride. Traveling and seeing new and faraway places is definitely my cup of tea any day of the year.
I am currently connected with Kenya Horticultural Exporters Ltd. as Group Production Manager based in its headquarters in Nairobi. I am managing and leading the operations of its three (3) packhouses (factory) with each of the Packhouse Managers as a direct report. My main responsibilities are to ensure the smooth and profitable operations of all the sites and to drive lean management to not only lower costs and enhance bottomline growth but also to foster a culture of excellence. Before coming to Kenya I was the Operations Manager of a fuel dealership company in the Philippines of which I was also an investor. It is a small company but my experience and investment in the company have further sharpened my business acumen, financial skills, and entrepreneurial awareness. Lastly, I worked for 12 years in Mondelez Bahrain WLL in progressively higher roles in manufacturing, process engineering, and integrated lean six sigma program implementation. In 2007, I was part of the pioneer employees who have participated in the greenfield start-up and commissioning of Mondelez\'s biggest manufacturing plant in the Middle East and continued on to work as Manufacturing Team Leader till the end of 2008. From 2009 to 2016, I worked as Production Manager and then as Senior Process Engineer from June 2016 to April 2018. From 2012, I double-hatted and held key Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) Pillar positions as Mondelez\'s embarked on its IL6S journey.
