Electrical Systems and Interface Engineer

• Initially appointed on a 6-month contract which has extended due to the successful delivery and quality service levels to a 12-month contract term

• Responsible for all electrical systems and interface engineering across this light rail extension based on the metro/tram link in Nottingham involving rail infrastructure signalling and supply of 22 new Citadis trams

• Additional undertakings include managing the stray current from hi voltage supply through current mats and into stray current cabinets based in strategic locations across the railway interface

• Operate within a small team with focus on the electrical infrastructure to manage 22 trams usage with a unit value of £7M; full specification, electrical drawings and component structure

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on multi site locations, trams and railway infrastructure through to system installations and fault diagnosis using SCADA operating systems

• Ensure site safety for onsite teams, equipment, visitors and users as well as delivering against warranty and service levels for the client

• Provide immediate response to faults and repairs with minimal downtime of trams and lines with achievement of an average 40-minutes fault diagnosis and repair

• Manage documentation, progress reporting and project management from installation and build to test and inspection of all electrical components
