Headhunted and appointed as the first global marketing coordinator for the company
Based from the headquarters in Dubai, I was responsible for steering all marketing activities for COR international and its regions of operation including the Middle East, Far East, Africa and America
I worked with regional managers on a daily basis to develop COR and support where necessary as the company grew within each region and expanded its range of services and moved into new territories
I led the overhaul and regeneration of the corporate brand, that built upon the existing brand and implemented a strategy that developed a new, demonstrably solid, consistent and coherent brand
I organised and executed many international exhibitions, conferences and trade shows, attending where possible to oversee and manage each event. I was also responsible for organising and planning many charity event sponsorships to enact COR’s corporate and social responsibilities.
I became comfortable in leading teams and managing groups, as well as recruiting new staff to expand the marketing department as the company grew.
Jon Oliver Communications Ltd - Jan ’04 to Jun ’09: Studio Manager
I represented the company in providing marketing services to both B2B and B2C clients, within engineering and technology industries, in both private and public sectors
Initially brought on as a Graphic Designer, I was directly responsible in helping the company grow significantly
I was soon promoted to Studio Manager, overseeing all creative output for the company, including online and offline media, photography, printing and event management services
I managed all other staff on a daily basis, as well as the selection and management of all outsourced suppliers, to ensure all work was achieved to the highest standard and on time
Over the years I grew my own skill set and marketing knowledge. I provided additional skills in copywriting, PR, media planning and purchasing, event and exhibition management
I was also responsible for managing multiple client accounts including Rolls Royce Naval Division, the Criminal Justice System, Manufacturing Advisory Service, FANUC Robotics and more
I was appointed Health & Safety officer for the company when it moved into new, purpose-built accommodation

Voluntary trainer and examiner of the public for First Aid at Work courses
Trained and ran youth groups for St John Ambulance, for children aged 6 to 16yrs
Subsequently trained in First Aid qualifications over the years
