Work History

2014 : Now in Saudi Arabia with Aramco/Sinopec’s new YASREF 400,000 BPD refinery. Location in Yanbu consulting through French contractor PPMS.

On PMT to develop administrative & technical maintenance procedures for CA & FMECA critical mechanical equipment. Focus is currently Rotating Machinery with stationary to follow.

Documents produced will be integrated into YASREF CMMS under SAP umbrella to include Reliability, Material & Finance interfaces, and an EDMS interface for drawing & technical retrieval.

2014 : Fircroft/Chevron in Tengiz Kazakhstan. World Class Oilfield with 600K+BPD production and sulfur, propane & butane processing units. SERIP Principal Investigator for worst actor machinery & process reliability incidents. Use RCA/Why Tree analysis on most critical process upsets. Facilitate teams in engineering, operations & maintenance to determine root causes and implement reliability/integrity based recommendations.

2012-2013: Jacobs Engineering & Field Services. Mechanical/Reliability Engineer @ AkzoNobel Chemical, La Port Texas. O&M and Capital budget retrofit projects & Turnaround/Shutdown work scopes as regards Mechanical Integrity & Reliability Engineering. Additionally, Pressure Vessel Mechanical Integrity regulatory inspection requirements & scheduling, to include new software acquisition and implementation. Includes RBI, RCM, FMEA, LCC, RCA & Criticality Analysis under the umbrellas of operations, maintenance and CMMS implementation.

1997-2009 : Conoco Phillips Alaska, Operations Technician at Kuparuk Field, CPF2. Areas worked include drillsites, waterflood, power generation and oil section. Responsibilities include control and monitor pumps, compressors, gas turbines, power generators and associated electrical , pneumatic, digital and PLC controllers. Monitor all facilities for leaks and conformance to environmental regulations.

*Monitor, start-up, shutdown and operate steam turbine, gas turbine & diesel driven pumps, compressors & power generators. Power Generators range in size from 2.5 MW diesel driven to 40+ MW Gas Turbine Gensets, (i.e., Ruston 5000 & GE Frame 3,5 & 6 & Mars Saturn & Centaur).

*Operate & Monitor Power Generation Switchgear, Capacitors, Reactors & Transformers with voltage ratings of 480v, 4160v, 13.8kv & 34.5kv for electrical driven equipment & Overhead Power Transmission.

*Operational Expertise with the following Facility & Drillsite/Wellhead processes; 1500 psig Gas Lift, 2500 psig Waterflood/Injection, 4000# Miscible Gas Injection, Gas Dehydration, 3 Phase Separation, LNG Recovery & Shipping, Metering & Custody Transfer, D.O.T. Pipeline operations and Pigging Operations & Procedures.

1992-1997 : ARCO Alaska, Maintenance Planner at Kuparuk Field, CPF1 & CPF3. Plan major maintenance activities for CPF’s to include Gas Turbine Overhauls, Process Facilities, Turnarounds, Regulatory Inspections and Plant and/or Drillsite retrofits. Acquire and coordinate third party contractors and schedule all activities for efficient, SAFE & timely completion.

* Coordination & Scheduling of 3rd party multi-discipline contractors for Turnaround/Plant Shutdown maintenance. To include 10 year Regulatory Inspection @ Prudhoe Bay Alaska that terminates 500,000 BPD Production @ 3 Flowstations & a STP. Budgeted for 100 million in Retrofit, O&M, Regulatory and Capital projects during 1 month Turnaround/Shutdown.

*Interface with muti-skill groups to include engineering, electrical, instrument, IT, operations support, regulatory, etc., in planning effort of major maintenance events, Turnarounds and/or Shutdowns.

*Conversant in SAP, Omnus, Teroman/Oracle & Misc. Microsoft Project & business software applicable to Maintenance Management and related financial & economic business activities.

*PSM Subject Matter Expert, to include Safety, Health & Environmental Regs.

1989-1992 : ARCO Indonesia, Senior Maintenance Planner, Jakarta Indonesia. Implement Maintenance Management System for Offshore Java Sea Operations.

Responsibilities included purchase, installation and data base development of hardware & software for a new maintenenace mangagemnet system. Work Order System implemented to accommodate 10 Flowstations, a LNG Plant and over 100 platforms for offshore operations in Java Sea. Also served as Rotating Machinery Engineer for same facilities. Included maintenance & overhaul of Centaur and Saturn Gas Turbines in gas compression and power generation service.

*Interface with muti-skill groups to include engineering, electrical, instrument, IT, operations support, regulatory, etc., in planning effort of major maintenance events, Turnarounds and/or Shutdowns.

* (MMS) Maintenance Management System Purchase, Database Development & Implementation. Supervision of Indonesian National team of multi-discipline Engineers, Maintenance and Operations Supervisors & Techs in database development & implementation of Maintenance Management System for Offshore Java Sea Oil & Gas & LNG production. (i.e. 10 Oil & Gas Production Flowstation Platforms, One LNG Processing Platform w/ associated Offshore Loading Terminal.

*Rotatating Machinery Engineer to include removal of gas turbines as described above and shipped to OEM for re-build. Diagnostics & Trouble-Shoot. Bently Nevada & Moore Systems.

1987-1989 : ARCO Alaska, Maintenance Planner @ Kuparuk Field. Develop and start-up a new PM system for Kuparuk Field to include all 3 CPF’s & STP.

*Interface with muti-skill groups to include engineering, electrical, instrument, IT, operations support, regulatory, etc., in planning effort of major maintenance events, Turnarounds and/or Shutdowns.

*Lead Planner for Implementation of Kuparuk Field’s 1st Preventive Maintenance System. In Prudhoe Bay Alaska. Led 3rd Party Contractor in Database Development, Maintenance Procedure writing, and user Implementation. For three Flowstations & STP Seawater Treatment Plant.

1985-1987 : ARCO Alaska, Production Operator @ Kuparuk, CPF1. Worked all areas to include the Topping Plant, oil & gas sections, drillsites and the Control Room Board.

*Mechanical Engineer for Petrochemical industry to include Vessel inspection and plant retrofit on piping, pumps and compressors. Have led several turnarounds as Chief Inspector for O & M budgets ranging from 50-100 Million.
