I have almost 30 years manufacturing experience, including >17 years of shift leadership. I am familiar with manufacturing practices, Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement techniques in a challenging market. I am also experienced at both operator and team leader level in control room operations, chemical manufacturing and a cGMP environment. I have a respectful, engaging leadership style and am keen to secure a future position within the manufacturing industry.

Reporting directly to the site production manager, I am responsible for leading one of 4 shifts on site. My main duties included:

 Responsibility for producing high quality, cGMP products

 Responsible for both continuous extraction plant and batch processing plant..

 Ensuring all EHS procedure are followed.

 Conducting Return To Work Interviews and monitoring absence levels,

 Ensuring all production targets are met through co-ordination of personnel, workload and materials.

 Involved in Six Sigma, both as team member and monitoring of Sustain part of projects.

 Batch sheet review.

 Writing of deviations to batch sheets when required, also CAPA investigations

 Emergency Controller on shift.

 Authorising Permit to Work, Vessel Entry Permits and carrying out LOTO as required

 Control room operations using SCADA system and DCS operations,

 Liaising with contractors at plant installation.

 Issuing work permits to allow installation and maintenance work to be carried out.

Reporting directly to the site Operations Manager, my main duties include:

 Responsibility for a shift of eleven manufacturing technicians over two production facilities (ABS Polymer resin plant and ABS plastic compounding plant),

 Ensuring all relevant environmental, health and safety procedures are met,

 Motivation and development of shift, completion of annual appraisals and initiation of disciplinary action, where necessary,

 Conducting Return To Work Interviews and monitoring absence levels,

 Ensuring all production targets are met through co-ordination of personnel, workload and materials,

 Final release of product based on quality data,

 Preparation and review of job breakdowns and procedures, including safety risk assessments,

 Active involvement in LEAN practices and principles to optimise operational efficiencies,

 Reporting of all production and issues at daily production meeting,

 Liaison with senior management, engineers, maintenance team etc on a daily basis – written and verbal communication,

 Emergency & Incident Controller on shift. In 2008, I was presented with a Business Award for leadership following an on site incident,

Manufacturing Technician

 Reporting to the Lead Technician on shift, gained experience in manufacturing operations on both the ABS Polymer resin plant (chemical reaction) and ABS plastic compounding plant (extrusion),

 Worked with DCS and PLC-based control systems,

 Experience and understanding of site environmental, health and safety procedures including permit to work and LOTO,

 Routine troubleshooting and 1st line maintenance.

Process technician

 Responsible for safe, efficient running of plant following all site procedures,

 Continuous monitoring of plant to ensure no deviation from process,

 Issuing of permit to work and LOTO,

 First line maintenance as required ensuring running of plant.

 Monitoring of plant from Control Room to ensure process being followed.

SCOTEC Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

 Project work included running of DC motor using AC current,

 Course work for HND in same subject.
