UK Based Electrician Seeking Oil and Gas Position

PFE Electrical - 2009-Present - Electrician

My role as an Electrician has included all aspects of electrical work in domestic, commercial and industrial premises. The company had many different contracts with Manchester and Trafford councils, NHS community clinics and Manchester and Trafford education boards. In addition to this I spent time working on the Trafford Centre and London’s BT Tower. Other work included visiting various Cricket and Rugby stadiums and wiring LED advertising boards around the pitch and in the stands.

My main duties include 1^st and 2^nd fixes, working with cable tray, conduit and trunking, armoured cable and testing. I am responsible for all aspects electrical work from the beginning of the job to handover. This includes all relevant paperwork being filled in and regular progress meetings with site supervisors and clients. This had vastly widened my knowledge of the electrical industry and has given me excellent skills when working to deadlines as well as improved customer service skills.I regularly work off cherry pickers, scissor lifts and portable scaffold and this means wearing a safety harness. I am responsible for healthy and safety of myself and making sure all apprentices of the company are up to date with health and safety training.


Spray Tint UK - 2007-2009

Employed in various roles and completed contracts with companies including Co-Operative Insurance,  BT and Barnet Borough Council.

Assistant ceiling restorer

Duties included preparing workplaces both domestic and commercial before they were sprayed with fire retardant paint, spraying ceilings with fire retardant paint and glossing the ceilings. I worked in confined spaces above ceilings as well as at height in cherry pickers, scissor lifts and up scaffolding.

Assistant ceiling fixer

Duties included pricing up jobs, cutting and fixing aluminium frameworks and installing insulation materials above the suspended ceiling. In this role I was required to work mostly at height up scaffolding and cherry pickers as well as scissor lifts.


Painter/ Decorator

Duties including painting domestic properties with anti vandal paints, painting commercial premises with fire retardant paints and painting shop fronts. I was required to do alot of work in confined spaces in this role especially under floors and in small ceiling spaces.

Voluntary Employment

PFE Electrical - August 2009 - Electricians mate

My role was to assist a team of electricians with 1^st and 2^nd fixes. The contract was with a chain of new build apartment blocks in Leeds. I worked mainly with cable tray and conduits, bending, forming and fixing them to the ceilings and walls. I was responsible for making sure all electricians had the correct materials and drawings, Other duties included cable pulling, cable stripping and wiring temporary lighting. In addition to this I assisted with testing and inspection and filling out of relevant paperwork to accompany the test results.


Trafford Magistrates Court - November 2006  - Admin assistant

My role was to work in reception and courtrooms doing data input, meeting and greeting and setting up conference rooms for overseas video links. This gave me not only great customer service skills but an invaluable insight into data input and a variety of computer systems.

Other Interests

I enjoy playing football and going to the gym. I have recently become interested in rock-climbing  and spend my spare time practicing climbing and visiting different mountains around the UK. I also enjoy swimming and was part of a local swimming team up until recent work commitments stopped me from training.
