Career Summary

Area QA/QC Lead for Energy, Material Handling & General Site Services

Reporting directly to the QA/QC Coordinator, specific responsibilities were:

o Ensure implementation of the Project Quality Management System.

o Overseeing implementation of contractors Quality Assurance Plan at site

o The management of a team of inspectors, coordinating RFI requests from contractors and delegating accordingly within the team.

o To review all Quality documentation submitted by contractors for approval; Quality Assurance Plans, Quality Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, completed History Documents etc.

o Produce weekly reports highlighting any significant concerns and also milestones achieved.

o Issue NCR’s & CAR’s respectively ensuring follow up. Also providing weekly updates to the exceptions administrator.

o Carry out audits with contractors ensuring Quality Assurance Plan and project procedures and specifications are being followed and implemented.

o Attend weekly progress meetings with all designated packages raising any significant quality concerns.

o Attend kick-off meetings with contractors. Attend all EHS safety meetings.

o Provide support/assistance/advice to inspectors of all disciplines.

o Coordinate with engineering/construction team, providing necessary assistance with regards to quality objectives.

o Attend FAT at different vendors worldwide.

o Deputise for QA/QC Coordinator in the event of absence.

o Ensure contractors have the required staff level for all activities to include cable containment installation, cable pullers and general labourers etc.

o Constantly liaise with package engineers and QA/QC department should either be of a concern.

o Ensure all drawings used by the contractor are of the latest revision.

o Provide any required assistance or technical support to the contractor when required.

o Attend daily toolbox talks and provide any support when necessary.

o Organise weekly work plans and submit to the construction coordinator.

o Ensure contractor is working in a safe manner, adhering to all safety procedures.

Senior Electrical QA/QC Inspector for Infrastructure & Material Handling

Reporting directly to the QA/QC Supervisor, responsibilities were:

o Ensure that all ITPs are followed by the contractors for all packages.

o Ensure all specifications, procedures and approved drawings are being implemented at site.

o Liaise with the construction/engineering department to resolve any issues that arise through inspection/surveillance.

o Carry out inspections on incoming materials as per engineering approval also ensuring they are free from defect.

o Witness all testing conducted by contractor; insulation resistance, Hi-Pot, HV, continuity etc.

o Attend weekly progress meetings highlighting any quality concerns that have risen through inspection or patrol. Attend EHS crew meetings on a weekly basis.

o Issue NCR/CAR to contractor when specification/procedure has not been followed. Ensuring follow up and close out. Raise, follow up and close deficiencies.

o Provide assistance/guidance with contractor with any part of installation.

o Prepare daily construction quality control surveillance reports.

o Review completed history dockets submitted by contractor.

o Attend weekly safety meetings.
