Sept 2012 – Present:  Girardot LTD, London

An independent advertising and design agency and partner to Fin International; creating campaigns that run across trade magazines, national press, outdoor and online media for clients such as Henderson Global Investors, Barings Asset Management, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Spreadex.


Account Manager/ Office Manager
Account Management:

  • Project managing advertising campaigns for clients; leading meetings with clients to discuss and identify advertising requirements.
  • Working with colleagues to devise an advertising campaign that meets the client’s brief and budget, which includes bespoke quotes for individual campaigns.
  • Monitoring work in progress and work to completion cost, ensuring that communication flows effectively between Giradot and the client resulting in deadlines being met.

  • Working with Fin International on a multi-million pound campaign for Pioneer. I coordinated with the designers and project manager to ensure all print and online publication deadlines were met for the launch of the campaign.

May 2011 – August 2012Merchandise Administration Assistant (MAA)

  • Producing and maintaining trade reporting for the company and the Home department.
  • Updating the UK and Ireland stores category reports weekly.
  • Reporting on the Home department’s performance at line level to the Assistant Merchandiser (AM) and Junior Merchandiser (JM) in weekly departmental trade meetings, highlighting best/worst sellers and adjusting allocations accordingly.
  • Ensuring stock transfers are completed daily to ensure stock is in the correct place at the correct time thus ensuring the highest sell through.
  • Conducting regular store visits to analyse product placement and stock volumes.
  • Planning new season launches, assisting in stock package assessments and recommending what products would best suit particular stores.
  • Supporting the Branch Merchandising team in new store stock packages, helping to maintain consistent stock levels throughout the season.
  • Analysing products by style, option and category; working with the Production team to ensure the correct quantities are ordered and advising when a rebuy may be needed.
  • Creating spread sheets to collate sales for specific periods and explain the rate of sale of all Home products in order to help the Design, Merchandising and Production teams decide which products will do/sell well in future ranges.
  • Identify sales opportunities in the UK & Ireland as well as work with the International MAA to maintain optimum branch covers.
  • Work with Retail Operations to maintain and improve contact between merchandising team and the stores.
  • Working with the Web Merchandiser to ensure they are able to maximise sales opportunities, suggesting ways to improve Web business by discussing the product availability and placement on the website.
  • Maintaining pricing structures and ensuring it is up-to-date on the system.
  • Developing a training programme for new starters, providing information on what they need to learn within their first month of being in the company – to be implemented for any new MAA’s.
  • Providing any ad hoc reports required by the Merchandising department or Managing Directors.
ACHIEVEMENTS
  • Created and implemented an induction programme for new starters to the Merchandising department.
  • Merchandising representative for the Jack Wills “Great Place to Work” Committee. I collate my department’s thoughts, ideas and grievances and present them to the committee, where we work together innovating and improving the workplace for all employees benefit.
Sept 2009 – May 2011:  Administration Assistant, Distribution Centre
  • Checking and logging all invoices for the Head of Logistics.
  • Completing paperwork for goods being dispatched to the USA.
  • Arranging inbound/ outbound collections of stock with couriers; monitoring movement of goods within the UK, Ireland and USA.
  • Managing Head Office stock queries and requests.
  • Recording internal and external stock movement on Excel.
