Responsibilities Include :

• Follow welding through all its aspects from bid phase to project completions, looking at solutions of high level quality and high productivity, according to project schedule, monitoring and supporting production phase.

• Execute activities ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.

• Assist and support Welding coordinator and /or project teams on all welding activities.

• Produce weld procedures from Engineering drawings to enable fabrication in the most cost effective manner.

• Design and qualify welding procedures to meet product and client requirements.

• Review of Engineering Drawings, Client Specification and Scope of Work.

• Review of Technical requirements of Welding related activities.

• Review and Approve sub-contractor and supplier Weld procedures and on occasions confirm correct application.

• Performing receiving inspection of incoming materials including Plates, Pipes, Fittings. as per Purchase order and ITP.

• Preparation of inspection reports and record inspection findings.

• Record Non-conformances through NCR’s.

• Propose corrective and preventive action and coordinate with client for close-out of NCR’s.

• Perform dimensional inspection including ovality, out of roundness of boiler drums, SILOS, and Sugar plant equipments.

• Perform dimensional inspection of machined components including Shafts, Pulleys, rollers and other material handling equipments.

• Perform pre-welding/fit-up, in-process and post welding inspections.

• Witness Procedure and Performance Qualification Tests as per International codes and project specific standards.

• Maintain and update welder’s qualification records and welder’s continuity.

• Perform final visual inspection of weld joints before NDE.
