Currently, I am trading as procurement representative of some of the UK Fresh Fruit Wholesalers. I am managing their supply chain which is starting with managing the seed suppliers to plantation in farms until the ready produce is delivered to customers locations in UK. I am also working as a Procurement Manager for Medline Adana Hospitals. Before my move to Turkey I was working in a large submarine and shipbuilding / repair organization. I also have experience working as a procurement consultant for some of the UK firms in addition to my full time roles. (References are available if required).

I possess a number of achievements and ongoing success by establishing new ideas whilst achieving targets. I have proven commitment and ongoing development. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, MCIPS and MBA in Strategy and Procurement Management.

During this time I have been working as Procurement Manger at the Medline Adana Hospital I have been working towards the transformation of the department from being an operational department only to becoming a strategic one. I have been achieving this by introducing new procurement systems and training the department staff accordingly. Some of my achievements during this time frame can be listed as follows:

• Achieving the transformation of the department from an operational one to a strategic one. For this purpose, reviewing the spend analysis of the Hospital and after scrutinising the information, applying the right procurement strategies to the relevant spend categories and introducing the appropriate contracts with suppliers. Also training the procurement staff for them to manage these contracts introduced. This resulted in 15% savings for total third party spend of the hospital.

• Introducing new procurement strategies and techniques and using them in the appropriate categories of spend (i.e. e-procurement, reverse e-auctions etc…)

• Getting the hospital to start measure and improve supplier performance and quality by introducing new supplier quality systems. As a result achieving the delivery of right goods, at right times at the right delivery points while ensuring the suppliers are achieving the cost cutting targets agreed.

• Introducing new strategies for storage management. Such as just in time stock management etc.

• Achieving reduction in stock costs by 30%

Working as a Category Manager of this FTSE 250 Company, I have gained a vast range of experience in multi site procurement and project management activities. During this role, I have achieved comprehensive understanding of large and complex commercial engagements and agreements. Some of the projects that I have managed during this role are as follows:

• Implemented a category management team while managing organisational change.

• Completed opportunity analysis for category management projects. Value included in this analysis was £472m.

• Lead the group vehicle lease and hire category management project. Value of the project was £130m including requirements from 12 different Babcock sites. This involved managing multi site teams across different Babcock divisions with different requirements and objectives.
