Senior Project Engineer & Construction Manager

As part of the Project Management Consultancy Team acting on behalf of the Client; KJO for the Al-Khafji Hout Associated Gas Facilities, was the focal point in Saudi Arabia during the early phase. The EPC contractor was Daewoo of South Korea. Stayed in Seoul for 3 months in preparation for the works and relocated to Saudi Arabia.

Managed the water storage pipeline project consisting of 300 wells, 150 km of 36 and 48 ” steel pipelines and 5 pumping stations. The JV partner was POSCO of Korea.

2008 – 2011,
TENES Construction & Energy Ltd., Ankara, Turkey

Coordinated EPC contractors’ activitities in oil and gas sectors in Turkey. Tenes was the main EPC contractor for the construction of helicopter fuel storage tank farm for USACE in Baghdad, Iraq. Detailed design was done in Ankara, procurement and crew selection were planned to be from Turkey.

As a Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) approved engineer; involved in various gas and oil pipeline projects including 150 km North to South oil pipeline and the 40 km gas pipeline to the power plant.

MISCO (Mechanical Construction & Industrial Services Co.Inc.), Rabigh, S.Arabia

Project Manager

Acted on behalf of the joint venture (MISCO) formed by Al-Rushaid of S.Arabia and Ustay of Turkey as the Site Project Manager for the UO2 Tankage Project (part of the Rabigh Refinery Development Project where the Client was PetroRabigh JV; Aramco-Sumitomo).

The engineering was done by Whessoe of UK. The job entailed erection of a total of 26 tanks of which 4 were cryogenic, 6 spherical and 16 atmospheric.

2004-2006,
METIS Construction Co., Tripoli, Libya

Technical Manager

Responsible for coordination and execution of Tarhunah to Abuziyyan Conveyance Pipeline System Projects consisting of pump stations, 64’’ steel pipeline and access road. These projects were part of the Great Man-Made River Project in Libya where METIS was the Contractor to the the Great Man-Made River Authority (GMMRA) and the consultant was Brown and Root North Africa (BRNA).

Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Crude Oil Pipeline Project, PT3 Main Pump Station

Managed all activities related to one of the 2 main pump stations within the BTC Project as the sole responsible for TEPE where BOTAS was the Contractor and BTC Company was the Client. In addition to all project management duties there was considerable involvement in community and local authority relationships.
