Working as an intermediate mechanical engineer, responsibilities includes, but not limited to;

• Sizing, selection, evaluation, preparation of equipment specification, data sheets and RFQ for pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, flare stacks, line heaters, pressure vessels and other packages.

• Line sizing, NPSHA, tank shell thickness, vent sizing, pressure vessel shell & head thickness calculations and thermal rating for shell & tube and air cooled heat exchangers, etc.

• Technical bid evaluations, clarifications and making recommendations.

• Preparing line lists, valve lists, tie-in lists and equipment lists.

• Reviewing project specifications & requirements, DBM, plot plans, piping layout, PFD, P&IDs, general arrangement &

isometric drawings,

• Verifying and approving vendor’s drawings & calculations.

• Providing technical expertise to other disciplines and vendors.

• Providing mentorship to junior mechanical engineers.

• Coordinating with clients, vendors and Tartan personnel as necessary.
