Talented Oil and Gas Project Engineer

Project Engineer at JGC Algeria (Japanese Gasoline Corporation) company specialized in Engineering & Procurement and Construction of process plants and offsite facilities in the field of petroleum production, natural gas industries and other chemical industries (Oil & Gas).                                                            

Experience Detail :

• Manage projects EPC, FEED & Services, by monitoring, controlling and coordinating all activities of the disciplines related to these projects with their clients.
• Supporting and providing input to early project planning and execution coordination efforts.
• Providing input to project execution planning deliverables.
• Monitoring the implementation of execution activities and ensuring the development and review of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for effective execution.
• Coordinating between project discipline leads to support project-wide deliverables within the appropriate project schedule
• Capturing and communicating lessons learned for the project
• Ensuring constructability plans are in place and are being implemented
• Coordinate with Construction and Engineering sections on matters that need clarification
• Control the Design, Specification and Requisitions before final submitting, using the appropriate code and standard (ASME, ASTM, API, Algerian Regulation…). Clarification related to specification, test & Tie-in procedures, discrepencies between Engineering disciplines, and clarification with client comments.
• Periodically update/follow up client on matter related to their scope of work and coordination     with ARH (Algerian Regulation of Hydrocarbon) to follow up QC tasks.  
• Coordination & Follow up Subcontractor progress work.
• Coordinate with commissionning team and prepare the final hand over
• Assist the vendor specialist during the site acceptance test to achieve the target
• Work permit approval and construction procedures
• Man-Hours Estimate & Control of each FWBS (Functional work breakdown structure)
• Cost Estimate & Cost Control
• Reporting to the project manager, General manager, top management and client (Monthly Progress Report, Weekly Progress Report, Meeting Report), and providing the necessary data (narrative, charts, graphs, etc) required for the progress report.
• CTR (Cost Time Resources) & Change order Preparation
•  Invoices Control (CTR Register) and approval
• Vendor documents control until approbation stage and as built
• Technical Bid summaries preparation (ITT, ITB Package)
• Follow up the Technical & commercial vendor Evaluation  
• Attend  & Participating as appropriate in design/constructability reviews, risk assessments (e.g. HAZID & HAZOP)  meetings as required throughout the execute stage of the project.

• January 2010 until March 31, 2010: Site Manager in engineer position with the German subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Xervon Algeria subcontractor, in the crude processing unit at Hassi Messaoud (Sonatrach, Eni Seipem-Lead); for the purpose of Fireproofing application.

  • Managing a team in an industrial site for the purposes of cementitious fireproofing and intumecent fireproofing.

  • Good mastery for proper functioning of fireproofing Epoxy machine WIWA by the German company WIWA.
  • Master the projection method vermiculite by (Pyrocrete 240HY, Fendolite ...) with the putzmeister machine and the epoxy intumecent method by (Chartek 1709 Chartek 7 ...) with the WIWA machine on the skirt, crib and all steel-structure located in an area exposed to fire hazards .

• Knowledge of HSE rules
• Good working knowledge of computers (Windows, MS Office (Outlook, word, excel).
• Computer Programming in : Pascal, C + +, AutoCAD, Thermoptim, GASEQ ..
• Beginner level on Primavera and Ms Project (on-going)
• Technical knowledge on the operation of gas turbines and their assemblies with auxiliary equipment.
• Have a general training with BP on the system DLE (Dry low emission) and their application to gas turbines to reduce emissions of NOx and Cox.
• General knowledge on compressor gas stations and processing units of oil and gas.
