 Pioneered the design and replacement of First Shot Fire Fighting System and the associated piping canisters with Linear Heat Detection (LHD) system, on the floating roof of crude oil tanks in Shell Bonny Terminal; part of Bonny Tank Farm Fire Protection System Up-Grade, of Bonny Terminal Integrated Project (BTIP).

 Successful execution of the Conceptual, FEED, and Detailed Engineering and Design of the Instrumentation scope (see note 1 below) of the Largest Gas Transmission Pipeline in Nigeria and Africa; The 56inch x 405km Calabar-Umuahia-Ajaokuta Gas Transmission Pipeline, part of the Trans Saharan Gas Pipeline Project, for the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources (as Instrumentation Consultant to Frazimex Engineering Ltd / OilServ).

 Successful engineering and installation of over fifty numbers 33KV x 100KVA and 11KV x 100KVA transformers and the associated high tension power lines and substation equipment for Airtel Nigeria (formally Celtel Nigeria) in their GSM telecommunication cell sites across Nigeria.

 The Warranty / Pre-commissioning of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) New Port Harcourt Refinery Metering systems. The systems are completely microprocessor controlled and include five meter skids equipped with turbine meters, motorized valves, assorted instrumentations and registration console.

The upgrade was to increase the station capacity from 35MMSCFD to 100MMSCFD.

The Electrical and Instrumentation works carried out in the Gas Transmission Pipeline Projects listed include but not limited to:

1. Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Engineering Design of Electrical and Instrumentation of the End & Intermediate facilities comprising Pressure Regulation and Metering station, Pigging station and Control Rooms.

2. Specific work carried out in each facility / equipment include:

– Preparation of Basis of Design and Concept Definition

Some outstanding accomplishments made include

 The commissioning of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), Beneboye Telemetry system; used to monitor NAOC remote meter bank at a distance of two kilometers across a jungle. The successful commissioning of the system engraved the company’s name in gold in NAOC,because a foreign company contracted to commission the system failed. The system blew up and Cakasa was invited. To effect the commissioning:

– The system was stripped down and the burnt components replace

– The interconnecting cables from a remote meter bank at a distance of two kilometers in Shell’s Forcados Terminal which failed continuity test were traced.

– The point of defect was located midway in the two kilometer jungle and repaired.

– The system was then successfully commissioned and started up.

 Commissioning of Agip Energy Agbara Offshore Production Prover loop located at NAOC Brass Terminal.

 Commissioning of 192 Numbers Rotork Valve Actuators and control consoles located at Pipelines and Product Marketing Company Ltd (PPMC), a subsidiary of NNPC, four numbers depots in Suleja, Niger State, Gombe, Buachi state and Jos, Plateu state for the main contractor Zakhem Construction, as well as at Calabar loading facility, Cross River state for IPCO.

 Upgrade of Shell Bonny Terminal Metering System involving overhaul of equipment and installation of new facilities, such as motor operated valves, microprocessor controllers, control panels, trenching, cable laying and terminations

 Rehabiltation of NNPC-PPMC burnt loading facilities at Satelite depot Ejigbo, Lagos, Mosimi depot, Ogn State and Kano depots.
