Senior Advisor / Dunmore Lang College, Sydney, Australia 2011 – 2013

Dunmore Lang College is an independent residential college affiliated with Macquarie University, providing student accommodation and making a significant contribution to student life and welfare.

Responsibilities / Achievements

● Performed requirements analysis, solution design, vendor sourcing, and project management for $250,000 ICT and physical security project.

● Conducted security site survey of physical and ICT infrastructure, fire and emergency plans & systems, and business processes, communicating operational cost saving opportunities to company directors valued at over $150,000 per annum.

● Managed tenders for security / risk management vendor contracts and selected optimal vendor solution offerings resulting in a 67% decrease in security consumables cost.

● Designed and managed replacement of existing ICT infrastructure including migration from Windows Server 2003 to Server 2012, implementation of Hyper-V, procurement and configuration of HP Gen8 servers, HP P2000 Storageworks, Barracuda Firewall, replacement of a legacy Nortel PABX with a VoIP solution and designed Active Directory structure, file access controls and auditing, and disaster recovery.
