EXPERIENCE:

Jun’14 – Present KEE Ltd, Rowan Viking Rig, Holland – Norway

Joined the rig in Holland then went on rig tow to Norway carrying out EX inspections and remedial repairs along with updating EX register on the rig and reporting findings to DNV. This was continued on location in Norway into drilling operations. Assisted rig electricians during jacking operations and pre-loading.

Jan’14 – May’14 Electrical Offshore Services, Blackford Dolphin Drilling Rig, Belfast

Carrying out EX inspections, working under the Dolphin permit system. Carrying out remedial repairs to various equipment and instruments in hazardous and explosive environments. Filling in necessary paperwork and completion sheets in order to update EX register.

Aug’13 – Dec’13 Ross-shire Engineering, Invergordon

Carrying out essential upgrades to the Galaxy 1 Jack up Rig. Carrying out Atex inspections. Installation and testing of new hazardous Atex equipment. Assisting rig electrician with daily testing including overhaul of existing equipment. Working under the Transocean permit system

Jun ’13 – Aug ’13 EX Installation and Inspections, Sullem Voe, Shetlands Gas Plant

Installation of power and lighting equipment within controlled and hazardous areas also carried out EX inspections on already installed equipment. Installed Fire Alarm systems and assisted in the commissioning of these systems.

Nov’11 – May ‘13 Upgrade of Fuel Systems, Ascension Island

Duties included installation of new containment and cabling to upgrade installation to compex standards. Also carried out inspections and surveys of existing installations.

Jun’10 – Nov’11 Alan Electrical S/C ODE at Total Gas Plant, St Fergus

Working to ATEX standards including installation of ATEX Equipment. Worked on design, installation and commissioning of laboratory. Also worked on Frig Furnace Replacement Utilities Building. Duties included installation of all necessary systems including fire, gas and instrumentation. Involved as part of the testing and commissioning team.

Aug ’08- Jun’10 Booth Welsh Automation

Carrying out various aspects of electrical contracting installation works including Small Power & Instrumentation. Works installed to Atex Flame-proof Standard within Pharmaceutical Facility. Maintenance and installation of HVAC systems.

Jan ‘07 – Aug ‘08 AMEC Industrial Services, Various

Carried out installation works in new maintenance building on channel tunnel rail link. Worked in various gas/petrochemical plants carrying out hazardous explosive works to COMPEX standards.
