Client Description: As the frontrunner of the new forest industry UPM leads the integration of bio and forest industries into a new, sustainable and innovation-driven future. We create value from renewable and recyclable materials.

UPM comprises of three Business Groups: Energy and pulp, Paper, and Engineered materials.

In 2011, UPM’s sales exceed € 10 billion. The Project involves in LE, PP, SD, MM and FI modules of SAP R/3 system. Apart from this, the project involves extensive reporting, user exits and transferring the data of the legacy system into SAP system.

Role & Responsibilities (As Release Manager):

• Supervised a team of up to 30 people in multiple locations to successfully deploy releases into Production across all business areas. Owned release process throughout SDLC.

• Concurrently managed multiple Releases and Changes for all SAP applications.

• Worked with external third party vendors with proper collaboration to meet the client’s requirement and to deploy the releases smoothly across various areas.

• Took responsibility of creating the monthly releases, updating the ALM tool with proper test cases for User acceptance testing and assigning the appropriate concept owners.

• Took responsibility for the deployment of objects for every release, and post the time to time updates to the Business, and finally taken care of release closure post deployment.

Test Management:

• Set up and maintain ALM tool for UAT for each assigned area

• Gathering test cases

• Conducting UAT kick-off meetings

• Reporting testing status daily from ALM

• Coordinate evaluation and user acceptance of release testing

• Prepare and deliver UAT testing status reports from ALM

• Coordinate Scoping meetings with vendors
