Short Bio:

I am currently looking for work I am a opito stage 3 rigger with rope access. Also have a good background in painting and blasting. I have around 6 years experience in the oil and gas industry in various roles, onshore in shipyards and offshore. I have worked on FPSO's on and offshore, semisubmersibles on and offshore. Aswell as various fixed platforms throughout the North Sea. I am a great team player and work very well with my own initiative. I am hardworking and strive to complete all tasks in which I am involved in to the highest of my ability.

Level 3 Rigger Working in nigg dry dock on the Haewene Brim assisting mechanical fitters with removal and istalation of various valves including underwater camera, using chain blocks and mechanical hoists. Assisting pipe fitters with removal of old pipework and spools then replacing them using chain blocks and cranes on various areas of the installation. Involved in the mooring of the FPSO using mechanical rope hoists.

Stage 2 Rigger Worked in the dry dock at Nigg Energy park. Removal and re installation of various plant piping of various size shape and weight. Removal of large spools and valves weighing up to 3.5 ton. Rigging and slinging various loads to be lifted by cranes either from the deck or straight off chain blocks for removal and installation. Assisting in the rigging of a 90 ton chemical injection module to be landed on installation by crane.

Rope Access Painter/Blaster Worked on various Projects on different Talisman and BG platforms. Been PA on various Talisman platforms lifting permits out and suspending them. Have done a lot of Metacor and CUI workscopes. While doing CUI projects helped with the Laggers stripping insulation recoating where necessary and re insulating pipework etc. On Metacor projects have done various different things from blasting and painting Caissons, diagonal bracings, crane pedestals to various different pipework around the platforms. Also the QAQC paint reports to send back to the beach.

Rope Access Painter/Blaster Worked on the Stena Spey stripping and recoating the MRT’s around the drill floor, did a full sweep of the derrick looking for potential dropped objects and checking for loose bolts to change out where necessary.

Helper/Painter (ADHOC)

(Borgsten Dolphin, Transocean Rather) General tidying up of the rig. Mixing paints and painting various jobs on the rig e.g. Pipework and Stumps to hold refuelling hoses while at sea. Filling up the Generators, Assisting the welders and platers with prep work e.g. (Grinding and Cutting), setting up equipment, clearing area where working from any flammable substances or anything that could start a fire.

This was a one year course which included, stick welding, gas welding, pipe fitting, plumbing, painting and decorating. I really enjoyed this course and adapted well considering the language barrier.
