Assigned as an QA/QC Engineer /Lead Inspectors and responsible for monitoring quality aspects of procured pipe, pipe coating, double jointing. Main duties include but not limited to;-

Reviewing of Subcontractor / Supplier key quality procedures relating to the materiel purchased and ensuring they are in compliance with contract quality requirements, relevant Codes/Standards and good site practices. Responsible for the recruitment of the inspection resources which includes raising of Request For Services (RFS), preparing Job Descriptions (JD) & Scope of Work (SOW) and dealing with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) department to finalize the whole recruitment process. Oversee the production activities within the parameters of the approved project documentation, quality plans and Inspection and Test Plans. These activities include supervision of inspectors, responsible for documentation review, material receiving inspection, manufacturing inspection, punch-listing, as-built preparation, and final documentation review and equipment release. Perform Quality Reviews & Audits of contractors / suppliers facilities, verification of process documentation to ensure compliance to agreed contract documentation. Identify areas of concern and report on quality problems as they arise. Assist in determining root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions. Supervise Mechanical Inspectors, assigning the responsibilities and providing them Technical support. Attending Quality meeting to discuss Quality issues. Prepare the daily and weekly Quality reports for Management.

Responsible to coordinate with vendors/contractors inspection including third party, to ensure consistency and continuity of inspection activities and monitoring of combined inspection man-hours for the MIPs Program which include but not limited to:-
  • Coordinate with Engineering in developing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for Vendors/Suppliers during bidding stage. Responsible to ensure vendors/contractors’ ITPs  comply with the client’s requirement. Responsible to establish the Source Inspection Plan for MIPs Program. Responsible to Prepare Field Inspection Assignment Packages (FIAP) which include the Scope of Work (SOW) and all related inspection documentations for all inspection personnel assigned on installation site or at the vendor’s fabrication yard. Also responsible to monitor the activities of all these assigned Inspectors.
  • Review all field inspection reports for content related to the inspection requirements of the     purchase order, schedule, and other problem areas. Providing weekly and monthly written Reports of site activities to the project management and also the cost of these quality assessment reports.
  • Coordinate all upcoming supplier meetings, inspection points and Final Acceptance Tests.     Schedule and perform Quality Assurance audits and also Suppliers/Subcontractors Evaluations and Assessments. Expedites the resolution of Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and Observations raised during Quality Audits. Review applicable requisitions and purchase orders to assure quality requirements imposed on suppliers are clear, and contain all requirements related to the purchased equipment. Review suppliers’ documentation for conformance to purchase order and subcontract requirements. Reviewing and determining the acceptability of Vendors/Suppliers documentation e.g. NDT reports, material certifications, test results, and other required documentation.
