Short Bio:

After working as a team leader for an NGO during the 2004/5 Indian Tsunami, I felt a strong desire to begin a career that enabled me to manage people in challenging and interesting environments. Joining the British Army as a Commissioned Officer enabled me to fulfil this, as well as travel to remote countries and work alongside indigenous cultures.

Although much of my key training and experience is through the military, it has given me many invaluable and unique benefits that translate perfectly into the civil sector. From the outset, I have been responsible for large numbers of people, culminating in the command of over 120 soldiers on operations in Afghanistan. In addition, I have managed the training of a 650 strong Infantry battalion in 2013.

In my years of military service I have completed many courses; I have completed communications courses and have recently learnt the Nepali language in order to communicate with Gurkha soldiers. I have also completed numerous physical selection tests in order to join both of the elite regiments I have served in.

I have always been a people person and thrive when working in a team. Much of my work as an Operations Officer has been office based, but I am fortunate to have worked with people from all over the world in different situations; from mentoring Afghanstan’s Police and Omani Special Forces, to managing community welfare projects in Nepal.

My next career would ideally require man and project management, drawing on my experience from living and working in a variety of foreign countries.
