Denel Gear Ratio develops and manufactures mechanical transmission products for special vehicles, mining and earthmoving equipment, industrial machinery and traction locomotives. (Transfer cases, Power Shift transmission, Suspension assemblies and related components). Denel Gear Ratio is ISO compliant.

 Manage industrial contracts to manufacture and supply components for external industrial customers

 Complete management of all repair and upgrade work on transmissions and axles (differentials and wheel stations)

 Register all transmissions and assemblies returned for repairs or upgrade

 Load sales order to enable the processing of a works order

 Compile quotes, failure reports and tenders for the repair or upgrade of assemblies and forward to client.

 Obtain order number or approval from client and update sales order on ERP system

 Complete management of all warranty claims on transfer cases

 Register warranty claims

 Process and evaluate all claims

 Liaise with client regarding the acceptance or rejection of claims

 Follow-up the payment of valid claims and notify client of progress

 Maintain failure records, warranty and repairs

 Compile statistical reports

 Perform reliability analysis on product.

 Creating technical documentation for the above assemblies

 Process and liaise all manufactured spares requirements with production, for external customers and internal repair orders.

 Importing of spares for local industrial customers

 Manage cycle counting in the spares stores and process findings.

 Configuration control for the above assemblies

 Create and Maintain – Item Data, Bill of Materials, Route Sheets and Shop Floor Control on ERP system.

 Monitor and co-ordinate the repair and upgrade of the above assemblies.
