• Managed Print and Direct Mail procurement for Carnival UK Indirect purchasing, Successfully developed pricing matrices with new supply chain operatives, achieving cost efficiencies from strategic performance across all print formats and marketing campaigns.
• Project managed new and existing tenders, including brochures land new ship launches, to large format printing and global newspaper campaigns. Achieved an average 35% saving across print production and 6.5% on fulfillment against all spend. Budget £11.75m.

• Controlled annual budget and managed Print, Paper and Distribution for Emap B2B magazine brands; including International film festival publications and information directories, digital content management and on-line publishing – worldwide. Constantly reviewed procurement contracts incorporating SLA’s and workflow processes, upgrading technology and manufacturing efficiency within the international organisation. Board Member – Budget £10m
• Implemented the reduction of all magazines to an A4 product utilising one text stock incorporating a back-to-back controlled schedule. Reduced print suppliers from six to two (one of many successful print tenders), negotiated paper procurement with two leading European manufacturers. The implementation of ‘supply-chain-printing’ promoted the effective use of press time with a considerable reduction in make-ready and paper wastage (down to 7-8%). Strategic procurement expertise, along with recommendations on the reduction of editorial pages and print runs rewarded – £4m saving against budget
• Outsourced all logistical mailing with an external specialist improving economies of scale, – £200k saving
• Consolidated pre press and ad production display and classified/recruitment teams to create a streamlined, enhanced technological output – £230k saving
• Reviewed pre-press workflows to produce both ad/edit pages in house – ‘soft-proofing’ across ad and editorial departments to improve manufacturing efficiencies with an XML workflow. With a return in hours of 6% per week for late ad bookings and editorial news page deadlines. Re-structured production departments to eradicate external repro through implementation of procedures and milestones – £700k saving
