Job Title: QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER (Offshore)

Work scope covered 4 offshore platforms & Halul Island. Review tender documents, technical evaluations, Project Quality Plans (PQP’s) procedures, method statements and all other relevant quality related documents. Responsible for site surveillance on new projects ensuring Contractors comply with Qatar Petroleum and international standards, codes and contractual obligations. Documentation review & site surveillance for the installation of 16 Dual Media filters (DMF). Involved with failure analysis of leaking vessels/filters (Super Duplex SS) DMF shortly after installation. During project execution, review contractors work procedures, adherence to PQP’s, personnel qualifications, mechanical completion packages, reports and other quality documentation. Witness on site quality testing including, but not limited to, pressure testing of pipework/equipment, concrete cube crushing, compaction tests, paint/coating applications etc. Take appropriate action for non – conformances, issue NCR’s (Non- conformance Reports), CAR’s (Corrective Action Requests) and follow up to close out. Punch list projects. Conduct 2nd party audits to ISO 9001.

Review & witness of NDT procedures/on site testing UT, RT, PT, MT Phased array etc. review of reports.

Job Title: SENIOR WELDING/PIPING INSPECTOR QC Dept. (Onshore/Offshore)

Working in the Operations Engineering Dept. covering 4 live NGL plants for process piping surveys and associated incoming/outgoing pipelines and 1 offshore platform. Working to QP IMS RBI program using Capstone/Lloyds software). Surveys and data acquisition of pipe lines, process pipe work and static equipment’s. Contract focal point for Pipe line Intelligent Pigging (IP) contract (GE), manpower contracts & NDT/inspection contracts.

Completed 14 NGL plant shutdowns during this period conducting inspection surveys, organising NDT & welding requirements for various pressure equipment’s/vessels and piping. RBI surveys of pressure vessel, columns and exchanger trim, nozzles & leveltrols. Review of NDT procedures, WQT’s/WPS/PQR’s & pressure testing procedures. Interpretation of radiographs related to RBI surveys and repair welding of plant/equipments. Trade test/assess all contracted NDT technicians working on shutdowns. Organising thickness surveys and weld testing of pressure vessels using manual UT and Phased Array.

Responsible for inspection of 140 pipelines and liaise with IP contractor regarding IP schedule, preparation of line, PIG traps and site coordination. Review & verify Pipeline Intelligent Pigging results/reports and follow up verification. Oversee inspection activities of pipeline rehabilitation programs, issue final report to Asset holder. Organising and supervising of NDT and inspection programs of technicians/piping inspectors for process piping surveys. Undertake welding inspection/quality control of all welding and fabrication work to ensure compliance with International and Corporation Standards and Codes of Practice.

Reviews existing facilities and ensures any repair work meets the above Standards for continued safe operation. Ensure fabrication procedures satisfy current Corporation Code requirements for in-house and contract work. Overseeing sub-contractors NDT/welding and ensuring that they comply with relevant procedures when carrying out modifications and new construction work. Ensuring all pre documentation, material certificates and parts are compliant and reviewing final documentation packages to relevant codes & standards.
