Short Bio:

I have a postgraduate degree in Statistics and Economics Science from the University of Bologna and a bachelor degree in International Relations Science. During my studies I took part in Erasmus and Overseas programme (6 months in Great Britain, 12 months in Australia). After my postgraduate degree I had a three-month period work experience through the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs at the Consulate General of Italy in Sydney.

I have been working at the Training Service Office of a highly specialized private hospital (Maria Cecilia Hospital S.p.A.) since September 2011, until now. I have a temporary contract, which will expire on the 30th of September 2013. During my placement I develop a strong, analytical and organizational skills. I understand the importance of organization strategies in order to resolve problems efficiently and under time constraints. I demonstrate my ability to work with minimal supervision and I learn how to prioritise the duties I have to carry out. During my current job I organize the teaching time table for the University Master in Management for Sanitary Professions Coordinators dealing with the availabilities of teachers who work all over Italy. I coordinate travel arrangements including hotels accommodation, transfers by train and by plane and their expenses and refunds working along side with the account department. I am trustworthy and a very responsible person. I have learnt that sometimes you need to make decisions independently using your own judgement. For example I have to meet the needs of two different bosses with different attitudes and I was able to develop the conditions in order to work in a cooperative environment. I understand the importance of strategies to ensure that communication is simple and effective in order to achieve the task I have to carry out. Moreover, during my role as an administrative secretary at the Dental Unit of Maria Cecilia Hospital I have developed my customer service skills and I improved my ability of focusing on clients’ needs with a calm attitude in order to solve problems amicably and professionally. My approach is always to treat people individually with respect and tolerance. As for my IT skills during my studies and my job experiences I have become familiar with a range
of computer softwares - including E-Views 6 student Version and SPSS, having regularly used
them throughout my studies for econometric analysis and for statistical analysis of data. I have good
knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point), which I also used during my
studies. For example during my current job I send high quantities of emails daily to correspond with
sponsors, students, teachers in order to organize courses, interact with the sponsors and manage
events. During my studies (postgraduate and undergraduate degrees) and work experience I became
familiar with the use of power point and chart creation, which I have been regularly used for
research and projects. Moreover during my current work I have experience of updating and editing on line symposium programs and of organizing and adapting all the materials needed for the symposiums such as invitation programs. Therefore I have gained the ability to familiarise myself quickly with new IT system.
