2007 – 2008 - NNIT A/S – Novo Nordisk A/S Copenhagen
  • Full-time employee as Surveillance Specialist. Tasks covered monitoring and responding to events, covering both the global Novo Nordisk network, as well as surveillance of networks, services and servers related to specific customers.
  • Platforms: Windows Servers 2003 & 2008, HP UX, Solaris
  • Monitoring tools used:  Microsoft, NetIQ, BAC, NetMonitor; Remedy.
  • Monitoring an array of server platforms, covering anything from the Novo Nordisk global infrastructure network, to the SAP production environment of production lines, or SQL database servers not operational could mean millions in lost revenue, in only 30 minutes of downtime for the production of Insulin.
2002-2007 - DSB Informatik (Royal Danish Railways) Copenhagen
  • Held overall IT responsibility of all ticket vending machines in Denmark. Primary tasks included system administration, HP Openview-surveillance, administration and maintenance, as well as preventing downtime and restore(s) in cases of loss of service.
  • Platforms: Windows Server 2003

  • The administration of the domain that only held ticket machines, based on Windows 2000 clients, consisted of some 200 machines based nationwide using an MPLS network structure.
  • I held the sole operational responsibility for these platforms, earning the DSB one third of yearly revenue, amounting to about 350 million Danish Kroner per year. Uptime & efficiency was naturally vital.

  • In charge of configuration and implementation of the HP OpenView monitoring solution throughout the server environment, as well configuring network availability monitoring, nationwide.
2000-2001 - Media@Vantage, The Netherlands (Internet Service Provider)
  • System administrator, responsible for all internal and external system administration for a Dutch Internet Service Provider. The company specialized in Business-To-Business “Complete services”, primarily focusing on businesses which utilized the Internet as a sales portal. Primary tasks included working in joint venture with project managers, designers and programmers, with an emphasis on the set-up and hosting of web solutions for specific customers.
