I am presently employed offshore Brazil on a D.P. Semi as an Electronic Technician.
4 years in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineering Mechanic from the age of 17 years. My Offshore career commenced in 1980 as a Roustabout with 5 years within the Drilling domain before re-educating over 5 years to pursue Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Now into my 15th year with current employer.

Profile

Presently assigned to the Transocean S706, offshore Macae, Brazil but I have only completed 3 full 28 day trips to date.

Limited real time exposure to the Hydril 4th Gen BOP Mux System & Kongsberg K-Chief 700 for control & monitoring of Power Management, Thruster Propulsion, Ballasting, Fire & Gas Monitoring, ESD & Dynamic Positioning.

In August 2013 I departed the Transocean Richardson Semi after 8 years, after which I had a short term assignment to the Falcon 100 Semi, Congo, West Africa., for 6 months.

During my 8 years assigned to the Richardson I had exposure to GE Microdrill 3000 / Baylor SCR Power Generation, Wormald Fire & Gas Detection, Hernis & Pelco CCTV, Swaco/AOI Drilling Instrumentation, V-Sat Communications, Anchor Winch GE Fanuc 90-30 Series PLC Control & Instrumentation, TMS LevelCom Ballast Control System & Kongsberg Datachief Alarm Monitoring System.

My last Medical Exam was conducted via the American Hospital, Paris in April 2014 with no restrictions.
