It was essential that all machinery was operational to allow full utilisation, for critical activities such as; the installation of formworks, pumping and poring concrete, pumping via tower cranes, and the use of vibration equipment. I was responsible for the instillation and the ongoing Maintenance of the Pre- Cast Concrete production facility associated with supplying pre- cast dam culverts, walls, bridge structures, for the Man-Made river & hotel project. I implemented the inspection/maintenance procedures and worked closely with project management/project development teams to effectively plan logistics and ensure contingency plans were in place.

Plant Manager on the Mina Abdulla Oil Refinery Kuwait, this was a 2.2 billion dollar project.

We had in excess of 2,000 pieces of equipment, 100 mobile hydraulic/ crawler cranes 30 to 900 ton capacity and 300 pieces of mobile plant, comprising of Komatsu Caterpillar Hitachi JSB Mitsubishi David Brown, Massy Ferguson Dozers Excavators Graders Tractors and Light & Heavy Vehicles.

Transport Comprising of Mack Mercedes Benz Kenworth Land Rover, Toyota approximately 1600 pieces of general plant generators, compressors, pumps, cherry pickers compaction equipment and all sub contractors plant transport.

My team consisted of the following: 2 senior mechanical supervisors, 1 budget plant movement coordinator engineer and 1 mechanical coordinator supervisor, 15 shop field mechanics, 2 welder fabricators, 2 auto electricians, 2 senior workshop foreman and 10 work shop satellite mechanics, 2 Stores spare parts Supervisors

Responsible to the project Director for setting up a workshop repair service facility ordering the necessary specialist mechanical / electrical tooling input with plant transport application, responsible for manning levels for all mechanical operational personnel, 80% of the equipment was company owned the remainder was supplied by our sub-contractors operating under our company regulations.

I was responsible for ensuring all stages of the project development progressed on target to meet our client stringent contract agreement.
