Short Bio:

I completed my Bachelors in Architecture from the Allana College of Architecture under the University of Pune, India in April 2012 with a First Class.
During my studies I served as an architectural intern at Apurva Amin Architects in Ahemadabad, India. (June to October 2011).
After graduating, I worked at a start-up architectural design firm called studioHAUS in Pune. (September 2012 to December 2013) My role as a founding member of the firm required my intimate involvement with the design process as well as execution of projects.

Thesis:
• Project: An Institute for Language and Culture
For my thesis, I formulated a topic based on my interests and what I concluded was something the city of Pune really required. The focus was a space that supports, not only teaching of different languages, but also exposure to related cultural activities such as film/music/dance festivals, exchange and cultural programs, etc.
Experience:

• Architectural Intern at Apurva Amin Architects in Ahemadabad, India (June to October 2011)
– Was involved with more than 14 on-going projects; residential, institutional as well as mixed use.
– Drafted construction/detailed working drawings for on-site execution under fixed deadlines.
– Created conceptual designs and initial presentations for clients.
– Visited project sites to gain exposure to the conditions and intricacies of design execution on site.
• Junior Architect at studioHAUS in Pune, India (September 2012 to December 2013)
Being an employee from the very beginning of this start-up firm, I have been intimately involved with the design process as well as the execution of the various projects that studioHAUS has undertaken. Apart from this, I have experienced handling a range of activities pertaining to an architectural office; such as, client relations/meetings, creating and delivering visual presentations of conceptual designs, co-ordination with contractors and engineering professionals, on-site supervision and problem solving, among other more administrative duties. The studioHAUS work portfolio comprises architectural, interior, furniture as well as graphic design.

• Can work with AutoCAD , Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of Google SketchUp, Corel Draw and 3DS Max
