I have acquired an exceptional set of inter-disciplinary skills that relates to computer applications in business including computer hardware, computer networking, cabling and programming.

• Final year project 2015 – developed an online web based system named Bus Route and Booking Management System for reservation of bus seats, payment of bus tickets, viewing of Bus Routes with other administrative roles involved. PHP, HTML and java script where used for the programming and assembling of the entire system.

• Microcomputer Repair – fault analysis and troubleshooting and repairing of the internal structure and the operation of modern computers (Laptop, tablets, smart-phones, notebooks and desktop computers) using different operating system and processing power.

• Network Cabling – capable of developing network cables through the use of a network wiring toolkit (crimper, cable tester, cable connectors, scissor) in order to come up with a fully functioning network cables to be using on different network peripherals communication such as routers, switches, telephones and computers.

• PC Essentials – installation and maintenance of operating systems (Windows XP, 7, 8, 10) this also include Linux systems. Troubleshooting and maintenance web and standalone application.

• ICT Service Management (ITSM) – designing, delivering, managing and improving the way information technology (IT) is used within an organization. Covered within the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) modules.

I have been attached under Department of Broadcasting Services for a period of 6 months offering my Information Technology skills to the entire Broadcasting Services Department. During the tenure I was managing and troubleshooting the department’s entire computer network, administering their servers as well as creating network cables to be used by officers. In March 2015, I implemented a small network of an internet cafe in Gaborone, Block 3 ensuring that customers are provided with internet, printing and other services that requires network connection availability.

I am an active volunteer with Mozilla Firefox Foundation which is based in US but having groups of volunteers all over the world. Our work in Botswana as volunteers has been the localization of all Mozilla Firefox products and services to our native tswana language which is wide spoken in our country, this exercise ensures that web literacy gap is bridged. Currently I am spearheading the Localization team of Firefox in Botswana. Apart from Localization, the team is involved with marketing of Mozilla products, on the 16th May 2015 I was part of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) held at Gantsi representing Mozilla Firefox in promoting the Orange Klif Smart phone that is powered by Mozilla Firefox mobile operating system.
