• Modules: Network Defence, Information Security Governance, Leadership, Information Risk Management, Management of Change, Globalisation & Outsourcing, Security Architectures and Data Protection

• Dissertation: Visualisation of Virus Propagation

Data on malware propagation that were gathered from various sources were mapped on a social network where relationships that exist between them were outlined. Mapping these data on such kind of a network enables analyst to get a proper view on how viruses propagates from networks to networks and from computers to computers. Results from such visualisation technique can be used to neutralise attacks from other viruses and hence, can help create a sturdier defence mechanism. It is good to note that this study has enumerated ways in which malware can interact and work together.

BSc Forensic Computing, Staffordshire University (Awarded 2:1)
Sept. 2007-Sept.  2010

• Modules: Intellectual Property, Ethics & Legal Issues, Computer Systems & Low Level Techniques, Network Security, Data Tracing and Evidence Gathering in Computer Systems, Digital Evidence, System Programming and Computer Control, Data Recovery, Cyber Law

• Dissertation: A Framework for the Data Protection Act, Computer Misuse & Cyber Crime Act and Spam Control Bill in Mauritius in view of the Cyber Island Plans. This project came about when the government of Mauritius decided to make the Island a cyber-hub. At this time, the cyber laws in the constitution were not stable enough to actually take in all the projects they have and accommodate all the big changes. This study did a revision of the three Acts and changes were suggested in a way that would enable forensic investigations to be carried out. At that time, there was no proper forensic investigative platform that was included in the laws and none of the ways they had at that time were forensically sound. It is important to note that the Attorney General of Mauritius was interviewed for this project.
